Sewing a skirt with a belt of elastic tape for a young lady in just a couple of hours is easy! The main thing is to strictly follow the step-by-step instructions of our master class.
You will need:
- mixed polyester fabric (so that the folds better keep their shape) 0.35-0.35-0.35-0.40-0.40 m wide 140 cm,
- tape measure,
- elastic tape 0.60-0.60-0.60-0.60-0.60 m wide 2.5 cm

Step 1
Draw the cloth of the skirt directly on the fabric, skirts 30–31.5–33–35–37 cm long and 85.5–85.5–85.5–93–93 wide (for sizes 104, 110, 116, 122 and 128, respectively) . And cut out with allowances of 1.5 cm for the rear middle seam. Along the top cut of the skirt, allowances are already included.
Step 2
Trim the longitudinal sections of the skirt panel. Using the “magic” tailor's chalk, mark the lines of folds on the canvas with an interval of 2.5 cm. Lay the folds, pin, iron evenly and sweep along the upper edge of the skirt.
For sizes 104−116 on the panel of the skirt iron 22 folds, for sizes 122 and 128 - 24 folds.
The width of the folds is 2.5 cm, the depth of the folds is 5 cm.

Step 4
For the belt, cut a length from the elastic tape equal to the waist circumference plus 2 cm. Stitch the ends of the tape. Stitch the tape, slightly stretching, to the upper edge of the skirt.
