The girl grew up in Nigeria and moved to the States at the age of 15. From a young age, she sewed with pleasure and was engaged in the redesign of old clothes for her friends, and over time she became seriously involved in the realization of her own vision of fashion. Having listened to the advice of her husband, who once told her that people would believe in her as a designer and stylist more willingly if she begins to showcase her creations on herself, Folake began to regularly publish the images that she creates.
“I use my style as a means of telling who I am. I’m not very interested in fashion trends, I simply obey my heart and my own quirks,” says Folake. In five words, the designer characterizes her style as boho, daring, colorful, intense, style of the 70s. And you won’t say more precisely!
