Ethnic print. What is it?
Clothing with ethnic prints attracts attention with its brightness and exoticism. The characteristic features of national costumes are embodied in ethnic ornaments. It can be either an easy hint of a particular culture, or the most authentic copying of its features. Today, as part of our new Theme of the issue, we offer you a closer look at ethnic prints!

The most fashionable ethnic prints
There can be many variations of prints in the ethnics, but among them there are those that occupy a special place in fashionable wardrobes:
Aztec print
Its origins go deep into antiquity and originate in one of the most mysterious civilizations. The Aztec print is characterized by lines, zigzags and geometric shapes. Most often, clothes with such tribal motifs are bright and catchy, the main colors are red, yellow, green and blue. So it is not surprising that such a pattern is especially popular in the summer.

Paisley
The legendary "cucumbers" - a print that appeared on the territory of Iran, but met its heyday in India. Of course, European fashionistas could not stay out of work and now paisley is popular around the world.
There is no consensus on what is depicted in this pattern. Someone sees feathers, someone recognizes floral motifs.

African print
It is logical that such a fabric imitates bright patterns of the peoples of Africa. In the figure you can find animal motifs, hints of bird feathers and characteristic ornaments. There is no clear geometry in it, there can be figures of absolutely any shape and size. This print is usually characterized by warm bright or sandy colors, which cause an association with the hot savannah.

Navajo print
Has something in common with the Aztec print, but is more diverse, rhombs and curved lines are often found.
The print got its name from the Indian tribe of the same name. Navajo Indians still weave carpets with this pattern and even registered a trademark.

Mexican print
Traditionally, Mexican patterns were made on dense fabric using embroidery. These are, as a rule, bright colors and images of straight lines, geometric shapes of different sizes and Mexican nature. Classical motifs, although they remain popular, are complemented by new, more modern ones - drawings of sombrero, skeletons reminiscent of the great Mexican holiday - Day of the Dead, and even portraits of Frida Kahlo.

How to wear ethnic prints?
Now that we have understood the basic trends of ethnic prints, we need to learn how to use them correctly.
With plain things
Do not forget about the simple truth: bright prints are best combined with plain things.
A thing with an ethnic print is the main emphasis in the image, all other clothes should attract less attention. So, choosing shorts with a bright pattern, you should give preference, for example, to a plain t-shirt.

With coarse textures and fur
Ethnic pattern looks great with things from a rough fabric. For example, suede jackets, large knit cardigans or denim jackets.

Print combination
If you dare to mix prints in an image, then the ideal option would be prints in the same color scheme. For example, if you chose an ethnic jacket, where yellow shades prevail, then colorful trousers should be in the same color.
You can make secure with a monophonic link - a thing without a picture will make the image seamless and connect the elements together.

One image ─ one culture
Choosing an ethno style, do not mix different ethnic prints. If you want to wear a paisley jumpsuit today, then you definitely have to give up a cardigan in the Japanese style.

Do not overload the image
Variegated things are eye-catching anyway, so you need to be very careful when choosing accessories. Plain jewelry or matching colors will work well with ethnic prints.
