This is actually a lamp shade decorated with tiny colored paper fans.
YOU NEED PREPARATION Packing of colored paper for origami size, 15 x 15 cm.
Cut each sheet of paper in half. Fold each strip individually with an accordion with folds approx. 6 mm. Iron each fold carefully.
STEP 1 Take the accordion in your hand, pinch the end between the thumb and forefinger, bend the end 2.5 cm wide down obliquely. Firmly holding the lower part of the fan, unscrew the upper one a little to the side and straighten the accordion.
STEP 2 Cut approx. From the folded bottom end. 1 cm. The fan is ready for fixing on the lamp shade. Prepare the right number of fans. They should completely cover the lampshade.
STEP 3 Put a drop of glue on the lower folded part of the fan and fix it on the lampshade so that the straightened side looks up. Start at the top of the lampshade and gradually “get down” down. Work in rows that should overlap each other like tiles.
STEP 4 In the last, bottom row, turn the fans with their straight side down. Make sure they overlap and cover the entire lower edge of the lampshade. Hide the folded ends under the straightened parts of the upper row of fans.
TIP Instead of origami paper, you can use color posters or magazine illustrations. The main thing is that on paper it is possible to smooth out the folds well.
