Do you want to change your mood in the interior more often with the help of decorative pillows? You don’t have to buy new ones, just sew removable pillowcases for the pillows that you already have from the rest of the fabrics.

And what to make a fastener for the pillowcase, decide for yourself and choose any of the three. Or make different fasteners in different pillowcases.

Envelope Clasp

A pillowcase with such a clasp consists of three parts. One side of the pillowcase is cut out with one-piece cut, and the other is made compound, that is, two parts are cut out taking into account the smell, which will act as a fastener. Moreover, one of the two parts in width should be approximately 10 cm larger than the other. First, external sections of these two parts are processed. Then these parts are superimposed on the one-piece part so that one overlaps the other. Further, the details of the pillowcase are cleaved or swept around the perimeter and stitched on a sewing machine. The smell can be decorated with a decorative satin ribbon.

This is perhaps the easiest and fastest way to sew a pillowcase for a decorative pillow. Do you want to make sure of this? From our workshop you will learn all the details:

Invisible Clasp

A more time-consuming fastener with a hidden zipper. But then the result will undoubtedly please.A neatly sewn zipper will be completely invisible. Only her tongue will always remain outside, and look like a decorative element. Such a fastener is always performed on one side and before the parts of the pillowcase are sewn together.

There is another interesting way how to make an invisible closure in a pillowcase, but with the usual zipper:
