A small country house is a place where we relax from worries and stresses, admiring the surrounding nature from the windows. Alas, the house itself is often not so beautiful. Fix it!
Eco style
This is proximity to nature, naturalness and environmental friendliness. What you need in a country house. Feel free to use natural materials, especially since it is so easy to find them outside the city. If you have beautiful large wood cuts, you can simply lean them against the wall or decorate a corner with them. Roughness is a hallmark of eco-style. Therefore, in the house you can safely use garden furniture made from natural materials. Or make furniture yourself, for example, an original ottoman in eco-style. Just tie several straight birch logs with a thick rope in two places and lay a pillow with a calico cover on top. On the wall you can hang a bunch of bright artificial vegetables strung on a bast, or make a large panel of sea shells. Decorate an ordinary bottle by wrapping it with hemp rope, put on the shelf an original "bouquet" of ... carrots and Jerusalem artichoke flowers. The floor "bouquet" can be made from branches decorated with straw balls. Use gunny, burlap, bast, dried flowers. Hang curtains made of linen or cotton on the windows, and lay a wicker mat on the floor.
Russian country
The rustic style is very diverse, in each country - its own version of rural life. The house in the style of Russian country is warm and cozy, with a "peasant" character. Such a stylization is never boring: samovars, nesting dolls, handicrafts - all will do. But the main thing is original handmade items. For example, from several bars and a sheet of thick plywood, you can make a coffee table in the form of a log house, the table top of which is decorated with a Pavlovsky posad scarf laminated with several layers of varnish. Do not forget about the wooden bench, on which you lay pillows made of patchwork technique. Well, on stools you can stitch cute covers using another technique - a “terry” patchwork. Make an unusual panel: place the fragments of Khokhloma dishes on a circle cut out of plywood and painted in red. If the house has a stove - you can paint it on a stencil. Patchwork rugs and floral drapes complete the decor.
Japanese style
The basic principle is a minimum of furniture, while it must be low. A great option is to do it yourself. The pallet for bricks will turn into a coffee table. You only need to polish it, cover it with a stain or varnish and attach large swivel wheels as legs. If you have an old shelf for books of dark color, put it on the floor - you get a low "Japanese" cabinet-bench. Instead of a traditional curtain, a curtain of straw rings. To store small things, you can use a home-made rectangular planter made of mirrors in red frames decorated with hieroglyphs. In a corner, put a thick stalk of bamboo, and hang on the wall a painted panel from straws, which was probably in every Soviet house. Red and black frames, boxes, wicker baskets - all this can be safely used as accessories, even without additional decoration. Throw red or black pillows on the floor - they will act as poufs.
Gzhel
Blue and white are the colors of the famous Russian dishes and the main colors of the French village style of Provence.Let's play on this similarity and create a Russian interior with a French accent. To do this, you need to combine the elements of Provence - elegant forms, antique furniture, forged legs of tables or chests of drawers - with Gzhel painting. So, a table in the Gzhel style can be assembled from a furniture board and curly balusters, painted or decorated with blue and white decoupage. Repaint simple chairs and stools with it. To design the windows, use tulle and lace. Spray a regular plate with spray paints, then stick pieces of tulle on it - you get a beautiful wall panel. Gzhel figures and dishes on the dresser, white-painted tree branches with blue ribbons, decorative bottles, a teapot, a white carpet - and you will line up from neighbors in the country to watch.
Black and white
At the cottage, surrounded by natural materials, the black and white gamut will look original. You don’t need a lot of furniture, but accessories are welcome. A simple white plastic armchair will contrast with a vibrant black and white pillow. An incredibly spectacular item - an elegant coffee table. It is assembled from a flower stand, an iron barrel lid and round glass. The barrel lid must be painted white and the glass black. Before painting on the glass, it is necessary to stick the silhouettes of leaves cut from washable wallpaper. When you remove the stickers, transparent silhouettes on a black background will remain underneath. If you put them on a white background, the "leaves" will turn white. The black and white ornament of a simple bottle is stenciled. A retro-clockwork will be given to the interior by a clock from an old plate or a mirror, the frame of which is decorated with lace. Textiles should be very simple: a white carpet and white curtains made of tulle or organza.
English country style
One of the distinctive features of the style is the images of roses, which are presented in textiles and patterns on dishes, as well as on all kinds of trinkets. On the curtains, let the magnificent inflorescences of these beautiful flowers bloom, and cover a small table with a long tablecloth with delicate buds. Sew cushions and a sachet in the shape of a bag from the same fabric. Paint the old Viennese chairs in pink and white and decorate with a decoupage with a small floral pattern. Hang a large oval mirror on the wall in a frame of artificial rose petals glued around the edge. The mirror can also be outdoor, and the frame can be made of artificial flower garland covered with gold spray paint. For indoor flowers, pick up white pots, as well as small white boxes that can be decorated with decoupage. Lay a carpet embroidered with ribbons on the floor. It remains only to invite friends to fife-o-clock.
Scandinavian style
Light, light and very positive. It's all a combination of simple shapes and vibrant colors. Creating a decor in this style is very easy. Furniture you need to choose the simplest, clear form, furniture covers can be both light and bright. It is advisable to choose curtains and curtains with a large pattern: geometric or floral. Wicker accessories, such as rectangular "Swedish" baskets, will fit perfectly into the Scandinavian interior. You can even assemble a small rack from them: put the baskets on top of each other and fasten them with a beautiful cord that you can pass through the rods. Mats and rugs made of natural materials - the best option for the floor. In a floor vase, you can put a "bouquet" of brightly colored cane stems or ordinary branches. A large round green hot stand can very well play the role of a wall panel.
Sea style
Dreaming of travels and faraway lands? Mix colonial and exotic styles, adding marine color to them. Throw a bright pareo or piece of Indian fabric on a garden chair. We turn a regular table into an exclusive thing with an exotic ornament using decoupage wonders. We’ll put an old suitcase on a stool, trimmed under worn leather and decorated with bright traveler stickers - this will make an excellent storage and stand. A homemade rope screen with glued sea shells (this is where souvenirs from a beach holiday come in handy) will become an original wall decor. If you stick images with African motifs on the simplest plate, you get a wall panel. Decorate the edges of the plate with crumbs of gold, silver and copper potal. Decoupage with an African plot will turn the most ordinary bench into an “African leader's stool”. Throw a pillow with Indian or Thai ornaments on the floor, a bright mat and place candles on the table in the halves of the coconut shell. Travelers Club is open.
